New York focuses on Manhattan but briefly explores the outer boroughs, the Hudson Valley, and Long Island. France is divided into regions (e.g., the Loire Valley, Corsica). Each book ends with travel advice (when to go, what to take, getting there, getting around) and a short list of recommended hotels and restaurants. As with the DK series, these books are not inexpensive, but they pack a lot of information into a compact format ideal for taking along on a trip.
