American artist Darryl Pottorf’s paintings and drawings utilize a complex set of techniques that have been termed some of ‘the most provocative visual creations in the contemporary scene’ by Rauschenberg. Imbued with multiple meanings, that imbed the past in the present, his works take on a dreamlike status. Produced on the occasion of an exhibition at IVAM, this illustrated, colour catalogue surveys twenty years of output, with the majority recently produced in 2007, and includes a chronology and interview with the artist.
