A BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation of Lewis Carrolls second story about the adventures of a little girl called Alice. Lewis Carroll’s wonderfully surreal sequel to Alice in Wonderland follows Alice as she moves through the shattered glass of a mirror into a world that is a game of chess, where each square is bordered by a brook that can only be crossed by running as fast as you can. Travelling across her chequered world, Alice encounters helpful gnats, a grumpy Humpty, all the King’s men and, of course, the Red Queen, until finally she crosses all the squares and becomes Queen Alice. This enchanting BBC Radio 4 full-cast dramatisation is made by the same production team behind the 1999 BBC Radio Collection release of Alices Adventures in Wonderland.
